Impact of system shutdown on active workitems

Hi Guys,

Request for your quick advise incase if you have experienced this scenario.

Our production environment is migrating from on premise to Cloud and total 5 days of downtime has been defined. All our workflows have deadline of 3 days and workitems escalates to user and his manager.

Now my question is - what will happen to the workitems who's deadline are falling under the downtime(all active dialog workitems because deadline is 3 days), when the system will be up post 5 days?

I think the deadline monitoring job should pick those items and escalate when the system is up post 5 days. However, I haven't come across this scenario so wanted to be doubly sure.

Hi,

Yes you are correct. On the first run of Batch job for deadline monitoring, workflow run on deadline branch activity. If you want to stop deadline activity for one day, you can stop the batch job and ask user to take decision.

Thanks
