Scrap processing

Hi, we have metal scrap from our shop floor which is sold in kgs to the dealers. how can we map for in-process shop floor scrap materials. we have different scrap materials like aluminium scrap, steel scrap, cast iron scrap etc. our products are in ea uom. basically scrap is coming frommachining our products. pls advise how to map all scrap processing process?

use the concept of byproducts. create a material for the scrap and add it to bom as a byproductt. when you do the confirmation you cna adjust the quantity. and this quantity will be receipted (101)at the confirmation.

In SAP 3 type of Scrap can be mapped

Assemply scrap

Operation scrap

Compoenent scrap

Assembly scrap:Scarp gererated during the productoin of the assembly. maintained in the MRP-1 of Assembly

Assembly scrap increases the order quantity of the assembly and subsequently increases the order quantity for corresponding components. The dependent requirements of the material components are therefore increased correspondingly.

Operation scrap: Scrap generated while the Operation is executed. to be maintained t in the BOM

increases the dependent requirements quantity of the component

Componenet Scrap: Scrap generated while handling the component.Maintained in the BOM. or MRP-4 .

Component scrap increases the dependent requirements quantity of the component
