    Hi,

To create webservice without function module you need to follow following steps:

    - Create Model of service in ESR.

    - Create proxy in your backend (ECC) system using tx: SPROXY

    - Goto class of proxy and implement code.

    - Configure endpoint using SOAMANAGER.

    - Publish webservice using Tx: WSPUBLISH.

There are few e-learnings available for how to do it (I guess by Thomas Jung). Will post url if found one:

    see this: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/elearn?rid=/library/uuid/80ee547d-f84f-2b10-f8ad-c2a13d812ce6

      Hi,

Please consult with your basis guy if you have right landscape i.e. PI/CE or ESR. Then take their help to establish connection between your backend and ESR and Service registry.

More information about configuring SR is available in this blog: /people/bv.pillai/blog/2007/09/18/configuring-publishing-enterprise-services-from-sap-business-suite-system-into-nwce-netweaver-composition-environment-services-registry

More information about configuring ESR: /people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies and integration-builder-data-not-understood-in-sproxy

There is quick and dirty way to configure using RFC destination type G called

      RFC dest: sap_proxy_esr

      Type: G

      Host: yourPIhost

      service: yourPIj2eeport

      path prefix: /rep

      Regards,
