I would like creating G/L account (field SAKNR) as string, for example 0123. After saving I get 123.Zero disappear.

Where is problem?

Hello,

Use - '0123 rather only 0123, in this case it will get display as per requirement.

Hi,

you cant create 0123 as string. If you still wants to create use the combination of any alphabet in the number like 0A123,A0123 etc.

But anyways if you save 123 Gl account depends on the length of the GL lets suppose 6 is the length.once you create and save the GL it will be stored in the respective tables SKA1,SKAT,SKB1 with zeropadding i.e.,000123.

whenever you want to retrieve the data you can retrive with zeropaddings or without also.

Hope it is clear

Hi,

In the display mode, the zero dissappears, but the zero is still stored in the relevant tables (SKA1, for example).

Hi,

It's not possible in standard SAP to display leading zeros. There is a note, though, which gives a direction how to do it, but, as I said, SAP does not recommend it.

Hi,

Check the Length of GL Account Number, on OB13 (Edit Chart of Accounts). If you increase the length, then you can get zeros before your number.
