Forecast base Planning

Hello all,

Forecast base planning with various forecast models come under material management? or in production planning. please let me know .

Dear,

It is the integration between MM and PP. Where MM people maintain the material master and execution of forecast done by the PP guys. like MP30, MP38.

Hello,

But if the material is the spare part planning, then basically it come under consumption base planning (MM). we can agree if the raw material is planned through forecast base planning it come under PP. what you people say my understanding is right?

HI,

its not based on the sap module.it based on the departmant, the forecasting is used.

basically inventory people do the forecasting in the end user side

but the configuration for the forecasting need to do by the production planning consultants.

hi,

Yes as Brahmankar said, its may be integrated b/w mm and pp.

but more part let say, calculate the forcasting, execution, planning as per forecasting, configuration part, and calculate the paramters for all the forecasting models. all are come under the PP module alone.
