I need to search documnets of KM using the search facility..Can anybody please tell me how to do that. Awaiting for your response.

I can give an overview of the steps
1) create an Index
2) Add Data sources to it
3) Create search option set and seacrch component set
4) Create an search iview and use your search option set and search component set.
5) assign this search iview to any role and then to users

There is no step by step guide. but you can get information for each step.
but please follw the step that i said above and search for that in SDN
1) Create Index in system administration -> system configuration->KM->Index Administration
Go through the below help link for creating an index. After that add KM datasources to it.

2) Create a search component set. below link will help you that

3) Create a Search Option set . Here you should mention the index id's that you created in step 1. check the below help link

4) Finally create KM Search iview and set the properties search component set and search option set in this iview. Check the below help link for that

5) you are ready now. Assign this search iview to a role and role t othe user . It will take some time to index all the documents .
