Storage location not picking in order automatically thogh maintainedin ovl3

Dear Gurus,

When i am creating sale order storage location is not picked automactically in sales order and not allowing for delivery.

I maintained storage loc det -ovl3.please advise me.

If you have tried all answers

Then try last option

When you are in order screen in command field type /oMSCC and go to material directly and in plant and assignment region check storage location and if not mentioned maintain the same. Your problem will get solved

Hi

Ins tandard SAP, storage location is NOT determined in the Sales order.

If you want, you can enter the storage location manually in the sales order for the item.

Storage location determination:

Sorage location will be determined for the item (during delivery) or not is indicated in the "Delivery item category".

If the storage location has been specified for the item in the Sales order then it is directly copied to the Delivery item.

If the storage location is not specified in the Sales order, then system determines the storage location for the item during Delivery.

Storage location is determined during Delivery based on a rule.

There are 3 rules in standard system (MALA, RETA and MARE).

Which rule system will use is specified for each Delivery type in the customisation.

In MALA rule Storage location is determined by

Shipping point + Plant + Storage conditio (material master) -

If you want that Storage location must be determined for the item in Sales order then you need to use User exit. Discuss with your ABAPer.

Dear Anush,

Did you check that by maintaining the storage location at MRP2 view whether its coming or not?

If not, then I have to correct myself in this, as per the other experts suggestion you can get this by having a check in MV45AFZZ

Hi

In Sales Order Storage Location will not be determined automatically even if have maintained the OVL3. To determine it you will have to use User Exit, sit with ABAP person and write the logic based upon this OVL3 and as per your requirement.

Hi Anush,

The storage loc. does not get determined automatically in the sales order. It should be entered manually or maybe via a program code. The OVL3 configuration is only used in the delivery for the storage location determination.

Hi,

Please check in material master, MRP2 view and maintain Storage location at Product storage location. Then it will come in sales order automatically.
