Strategy for CDS view adoption

Dear all,

As you are aware most of the SAP customers will take some time to be on S/4 HANA. However, if they are currently on NW7.5 assuming it will take few years for them to get to S/4 HANA for various reasons, what could be a good strategy to adopt and use CDS views. SAP unfortunately does not deliver much CDS content for NW7.5 version. Creating so many custom CDS views and using them in Visualiations tools, 3rd party applications via OData web services, extracting data to BW via CDS views etc might prove expensive as it might need lot of adjustments once they move to S/4 in future. Did anyone has evaluated the pros and cons of approaches possible? If yes, can you share your thoughts.
