depreciation run

when we do depreciation run AFAB, it is always done in background. but when we do that, we get a screen where we have to select a printer, and the time the run should start. Is there anyway, we schedule the depreciation run without having to choose a printer because we are not printing the run. How is the depreciation run done, please advise.

hi,

You have a default output device as LOCL or LP01, this will not print anything unless until you specify in the windows printer. Just leave the windows printer blank and continue, then select immediate or scheduled run.

This process will run like a batch input in the back end.

Thanks, how can we define LOCL or LP01 as default , where do we do this.

Hi Sheena,

For Every user, we can define the default printers, go to transaction SU3, in that defaults tab will there. In that you can give the printer name as LOCL or LP01.
