Hi Huan,

I'm assuming that you need to setup the (world's worst) support portal and the server setup is asking you for an instance number? If this is the case, i can help - if not, then sorry for wasting your time I just setup a similar connection in said support portal, i also had no idea of our instance number (which led me to your post!). I simply entered 01 in the first box as the instance number for our production system and it allowed me to proceed from there. I was allowed to open the connection after this.

Using saplicense getting your SAP System installation Number such as ECC,EP,PI and so on, But MDM 7.1 cann't, Only get hardware key.

Hi Huang,

MDM 7.1 Installation number is nothing different than your Netweaver Installation number. When you register/license key your MDM System on Service Marketplace you have to give the Installation number. Here you can select Netweaver Installation number.
