Planning File Entries (MDAB)

Hi Experts,

Just want to ask what could be the possible reason why the planning file entries for the items (in MD21) will not be created even after doing MDAB? Or maybe, you can tell me me how to create Planning File entries for the materials in the Plant if MDAB will not work?

The items in the Plant are not new, I just want to trigger MRP run for all the items in the plant even if there are no changes relevant to MRP for the items that is why I want to create planning file entries for all the items in the Plant. Appreciate your immediate reply. Thanks.

Hi,

Run MDRE first for your plant & the program log will let you know if any materials are missing an entry in the planning file. If there is any missing, then run MDAB & the system will make planning file entries.

MDAB is a mass transaction, but you can use MD20 for doing entries for individual material in planning file.

If you want to run MRP for all materials even if there is no MRP relevant changes, then schedule a MRP run with the Processing Key as NEUPL (Regenerative Planning). This will plan for all MRP materials whether or not there is any MRP relevant changes. You can set the Planning mode as 2 or 3.
