Where to report HANA Studio Bugs? / How to fix

0 Kudos

Eclipse + Hana plug-ins = HANA Studio crashes with the following errror:

The program 'Eclipse' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
(Details: serial 12560584 error_code 11 request_code 130 (MIT-SHM) minor_code 5)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

How to fix this / where to file a bug report?

I already created a bug in eclipse-bugzilla.

But the error occurs while trying to acteivate a calculation view.

As mentioned by SAP note 2073112 an indicent has to be setup with component HAN-STD-ADM-DBA. Setting up an indicent can be done here (you need a privileged user).

I think you have already updated to the latest HANA tools and tried also tested it with a "fresh" Eclipse installation.

Florian
