Hi

1.Required capacity will be available for Workcentres

You need to maintain the standard available capacity in workcenter, the std available capacity is called as required capacity of the workcenter.

Example:

Start 07:00:00

Finish 18:00:00 Capacity utilization 100

Length of breaks 00:00:00 No. of indiv. cap. 1

Operating time 11.00 ; Capacity 11.00 ; HR

2.If required capacity is not there what will be the impact?

If you are not maintained this you are not able to do the capacity planning for your orders.

.Also throw some lights on Available capacity and Remaing capacity.

The available capacity is total available capacity of your workcenter

The remaining capacity = Requirements- AvailCap

Example:

Requirements AvailCap. RemAvailCap

50 Hours 100 Hours 50Hours

Thanks

Hi Kumar and Murali,

I have simulated but in my case Required capacity gets calculated even If i choose capacity category as Machine or labour based on Processing formula what i have mentioned in workcentre under Capactiy tab and compare with the standard values what i have mentioned in routing + Setup time.

Also i can able to see this in Planned Order right.

Requested you to correct me if am wrong.

Mr.Murali i cant able to understand what u have mentined for remaining capacity, you mean to sayRemani cap = Reqmts - Avail cap ok but exmple what you have given needed little more clarification.

This part am not clear.

Example:

Requirements AvailCap. RemAvailCap

50 Hours 100 Hours 50Hours

Dear Kumar,

example

u have a order which required to process 10 hrs (availble cpacity & required capacity)

u have completed the work in 9 hrs

so here remaining capcity is 1 hr

when u confirm the order system will ( free the capcities) will set to zero for this work center

and u can start next order

Hi

Take exmaple

your total avialble capacity in your workcenter is 100 hrs / week

in that you have requirement (Production orders) is 50hrs/Week

The remaining available capacity in your work center is = 100-50 = 50hrs/Week

So still you can use this work center for cpapcity planning, because your remaining available capapcity is 50 hrs

I hope u understan the example

Thanks

Dear Kumar,

Required capacity will be available for Workcentres

the capacities u give in work center i.e start time, end time will taken as availble capacities for production process.

If required capacity is not not there what will be the impact

if there are not enough capacities availble, then system gives Mssg as capacities are not availble, while creating production order.

Also throw some lights on Available capacity and Remaing capacity.

when u confirm the order, the capacities for that order will set to Zero i.e availble cpacities & remaining capacities.
