Add first depreciation area

Hi,

The asset class was set with no active depreciation area. The assets were created within this asset class. (For some reasons it was ok- only master data without values.)

Now the asset class was changed and deprecation area 01 is active. The new assets are created with depreciation area.

How can I add depreciation area to old assets? TC AFBN need the reference depreciation area but there is no one.

thanks

Ryszard

Hi,

What you will do with the old assets, those having no acquisitions?

Please try to create new asset master records, with reference to the old asset numbers with correct asset class.

Now use these new asset numbers for acquisition postings.

Hope this will help.

Thanks,

Srinu

Thanks for reply,

It is solution I try avoid. I have 4000 position of this assets. After two years of using the user said it will be better to add values to these assets and the problem occurs.

After changing the assets I will post an acquisition to them.

Thanks,

Ryszard

Hi Ryszard,

I have a similar problem now, regarding adding a dep area to an old asset, but AFBN does not help because my new area does not have a reference area either. You said you added ANLB table to the asset and solved your problem... how did you do that?

Thanks in advance,

Eduardo

Hi Eduardo,

It will be easier just for AFBN set a reference area to the new area. Set via SPRO or directly in table T093A.

Hope it solved

Ryszard
