Inconsistent Data when executing SQL directly on DB versus via VC 7.1.1 SP2

Hi all,

I have now successfully connected to my BI JDBC System and can now design all the queries I want. What I have experienced is that the data I get from my statement is different from the data I have got from directly executing the SQL statement. It somehow seems that VC is aggregating data somehow.

This ist the SQL:

select ,vsyskey, risklevel ,sum(riskcount) as risikocount from SAPSR3DB.virsa_cc_mgrisks where (yearmonth=(select max(yearmonth) from SAPSR3DB.virsa_cc_mgrisks)) group by vsyskey,risklevel order by risklevel asc;

This is the result from the database:

VSYSKEY RISKLEVEL RISIKOCOUNT
------------------------------ ------------- -----------
C01 0 594866
C15 0 536558
C01 1 632648
C15 1 597981

This is the result in VC:

VSYSKEY RISKLEVEL RISIKOCOUNT
------------------------------ ------------- -----------
C01 1 1,227,578
C15 1 1,173,285

I have nothing special declared in the BI Query Wizard. Is there no way of using plain SQL to fill tables and build graphs?

Thank you.

Nicolas

    Hi all,

it seems that the SQL statement was too complex. I have restructured the SQL statement and do the data processing now completely in VC (I wanted to prevent this for performance reasons).

    Best Regards Nicolas
