initialization question

Hi,

I have changed the infocube and need to do a drop and reload from ODS .Actually it is fed from 4 different sources(I mean 4 update rules).

So i have to do re init from all the sources (ODS) and then go for delta , (please correct me if iam wrong).

My question is the ODS is feeding to many infocubes, so if i delete the init then all the other targets will be affected.

so iam thinking to do a full load for the one i have changed and then for all other do a "Init without datatransfer and then the deltas will continue to flow as usual , Am i doing any worng here.

could anyone explain how to go ahead with this..

Hi Rajesh,

If the data is loaded to many targets from One ODS, and then you need to initialize only one target, then It will not effect the other targets.

The other option is also ok. You can full upload the data and then reinitialize without data transfer.

I would suggest to go with second option. In any case, both the options are correct and will work perfectly.
