HI,

A new system has been build copying the production system in our project.

I find that when we try to create leave requests, expenses and training requests , then the corresposnding workflows are getting triggered but the approval workitems for approval are not getting created and hence the approval workitems are not going into the manager's inbox for approval.

This is a major issue now so can anyoe please help?

Neither the standard workflows not the custom workflows are working in the new system but it is working perfectly in the system from where we have copied....

Hi,

Run the t-code SWDP ( Workflow Log ) put the id of the workflow and check where your Workflow is getting stuck.

The connecting lines will be displayed in green to the point where the workflow has been executed properly.

Cordially,

The reasons can be

1. Check the SWU3 settings of the new system . SWU3 is a Txn.

2. If SWU3 Settings are configured perfectly then check whether the bacground User WF-BATCH is locked. if it is locked then unlock it from the SU01 txn , you can find a icon with unlock user, simply enter the user name as WF-BATCH and click on the unlock icon it will unlock the user.

Try with the above two options. and revert back.

Hi Saumik,

Check the binding between the containers in the copied workflow.

Also check if the tasks have the proper agent assignment done.

Hello,

Check the workflow logs for errors - exactly where does it go wrong? Agent assignment?

It could be that some tasks haven't been set as General Task.
