MPS and Dependent requirement

Hi All, I have to understand MPS Vs MRP

I am running MPS

Level 1 Finished Good MAT1 - MRP Type M3

Level 2 Semi Finished Good MAT2 - MRP Type P3 -MRP Relevent

Level 3 Semi Finished Good MAT3 - MRP Type P3 -MRP Relevent

Level 4 Semi Finished Good MAT4 - MRP Type M3

Level 5 Semi Finished Good MAT5 - MRP Type P3 -MRP Relevent

Level 6 Semi Finished Good MAT6 - MRP Type PD

There is no stock for all MAT1,MAT2,MAT3,MAT4,MAT5,MAT6

If I run MD40(MPS) for MAT1 ,Planned order should be created for MAT1,MAT2 or MAT1,MAT2,MAT3 or

MAT1,MAT2,MAT3,MAT4

Note:there is no tick for Process MRP materials during MPS while executing T code MD40(MPS)

If I run MD41(MPS) (single item Multi Level) for MAT1 Planned order should be created for

MAT1,MAT2 or MAT1,MAT2,MAT3 or MAT1,MAT2,MAT3,MAT4 and so on

If I run MD42(single item single Level) for MAT1 Planned order should be created for MAT1,MAT2 or

MAT1,MAT2,MAT3 or MAT1,MAT2,MAT3,MAT4 and so on

Regards

Arun

    Hi

The MRP Results would be like this

If Run By MD40 (W/0 tick for Processing MRP Materials ) : Planned orders will be created for MAT1 and Dep req for MAT2 only

If Run By MD41 (Single item Multi level) : Planned orders will be created for all level Materials from MAT1...... to MAT6

If Run By MD42 (Single item Single level) : Planned orders will be created for MAT1 and Dep req for MAT2. The Planning results will be same as if run by MD40

    Regards
