Uninstall Crystal Reports Server- What happens to CMS database?

I found the uninstall directions in Crystal Reports Server 2008

Installation Guide for Windows on page 70.

I have a question about it. Will the uninstall affect the CMS database?

Or will it leave it existing?

I made an error in installation where I selected (Use an existing

database server). I selected not to reset existing database that would have

deleted all tables and entries.

The existing database server is a production Oracle database I use for

another application. I want to make sure it will not be touched during

uninstall of Crystal Report Server.

Should there be another step before running unistall to make sure my

database isn't wiped out?

Hi,

I assume that the application that uses the same database is not a BOBJ application. Does it use the same DB user to access the Oracle database as the one your provided during the installation of BOBJ?

Uninstallaton of CR 2008 software will not affect your Database. However, it's a good practice to have DB backup, just in case

True , it is not a BOBJ application. Yes it uses the same DB user as I provided during install of CR Server.
