Add new code in classification view under material master

Hi Experts!

I need to add new code in classification view, MM03 for class ZZLOCAL. Can anyone guide me to the path?

the one showing in MM03 is not a characteristic but description of characteristic. So in order to get the characteristic in CT04, i have to search using the description. Then after having the characteristic only i can add the new value. Anyway,thanks a lot for your help guys!

no, when i check in CT04,it says not valid.

what i mean i want to change is.. go to MM03>Classification view> class type: material class 001> class ZZLOCAL> class description: SKJ by Characteristic>double click then u'll see another screen. i want to add the code there..

if i go through IMG config, what is the path? Can you please show me the path?

this is not customizing, this is standard master data maintenance.

Easiest way to find the menu path is by entering search_sap_menu into the command field.

then you are prompted for search text. here you can either enter a transaction code or a name of transaction.

SAP will give a list with all menues and paths to reach this transaction

start CT04.

enter characteristic

click change button

goto tab values

scroll down and add the value and a description of your choice.

save

no, i mean, in MM03 under 'classification', material type 001, i have class ZZLOCAL. I need to add a new code for characteristic description, and its value. How can i do this? Please tell me step by step,transaction code and path if i search from IMG.

You mean you have already a characteristic in your ZZLOCAL class and want add a possible value ?

this can be created in CT04.

Then you add the new characteristic in CL02 to your class.
