Hello Experts,

I have the requirement to create IVIew with 4 folders. I need to assign that role to many users. Few users should have only 1 folder access, few can access 2 folders, few have 3 and few can access all the folders that depends on the user.

I have created one role with that IView in which we have 4 folders. Can i give different type of access like above mensioned for the same role. We dont want to create another role, we want to be in one role and one iview.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance,

Venky

Hi Venkatesh S

You can give different access to your 4 folders. You can do it in Content Administration->KM content->on your folder click Details->Settings->Permision. If you have a lot of users make sence create group for each folder and assign permissions for group. You create it one time, and in the future it compensate more friendship administration, you don't need remove dismiss empoloyee or add new employee from the deep settings of folder, you just remove or add them to the group in User administration

Hello

you can try this.

When you create floders in an Ivew, go to the details of each floder by clicking on the context menu. A new window will Pop up. Here go to Settings->Permissions. Here Add the user whom you want to see the Folder1. Similary add the users to whom you want to make Folder2, Folder3 Visible.

Can you tell me what folders are they. They are pcd folders or KM folders.

If they are KM folders then you can restrict the premissions at KM level.
