My custom strategy diagram appears distorted after uploading in Diagram Manager. Any ideas what's going on here?

Thanks,

Laura

Hi Laura,

Most problems with Goal Diagram images have to do with not using the right version of Diagram Manager.

Make sure to install locally the Diagram Manager version which corresponds to the version and support package of the Strategy Management installation you are working on.

Best regards!

I'm embarrased to ask, but how do I check version, SP, and hot fix #? I've looked through various notes and installation documentation and so far haven't found direction on how to do this.

Laura,

To find which version you are running in SSM 7.0, use Tools

http://<web server>:50000/strategy/tools/pasquery

Choose a model connection and then write

&result=version

in the Address box.

( If you are using SSM 7.5 - it has a specfic section called Version in Tools)

That will give you the SSM version but not the Goal Diagram version. For the Goal Diagram version you go to the diag_mgr file and look at the "Date Modified" for the .exe file. Which should give you the same information if you opened xSSMDgm02_0.info in notepad for the patch level.

I would suggest downloading the latest version off of Service Marketplace and use that version to replace what is currently installed on the server as well as the laptops of any administrators/users. Then you KNOW it's not conflicts between DG versions.

Regards,

Bob

Laura,

Development is telling me that there was an issue found with Diagram Manager that was addressed in a service pack. Recommend that you update to latest SP, which is SP8

Hope this helps,

Bob

Hi Laura

Adding to the help given by Bob , please check the format of the picture uploaded. If its .jpg then the clarity will be good. Otherwise the image can be slightly distorted in case of other formats. Kindly install SP 8 as told by Bob .

Hope this helps

Thank you Vijay and Bob for your feedback. It is a .jpg file. I'm wading the client's tech support gauntlet so I can temporarily be made an admin on my machine to install the local DM patches. I'll circle back to you after I get this done.

FYI, the local install of DM SP08 did the job. Thanks again Vijay and Bob.
