MDIS: One or more destination records could not be locked

I have a MDIS integration running all the time (each 1 minute). Sometimes some records arenu2019t imported. The log shows the message u201COne or more destination records could not be lockedu201D. There is any option or configuration to lock a record in this situation?

Thanks,

Evandro

Hi Evandro,

Please check if there is any Workflow running on MDS. Since the WOrkflow locks records and does not allow you to update the records. The records can also be locked for Syndication.

Hi

Are you trying to create the records for the first time or its update scenario?

If you are trying to update the records please check if the import is triggering any workflow or checking out the records.

I have a Workflow at the repository at this moment, but the import does not start a new Workflow. This message is shown for few records.

Hi Evandro,

Are those few records locked when you check in the Data Manager? If not: Can you lock them there?

Do you have connections to the MDM server during the import, that access data and could thus prevent the locking operation?

E.g.:

- Portal

- Workflow

- Users with Data Manager

- Custom-developed application using API

Is this the production system? Or dev/QA/...?

Do you import records to the main table only, or also lookup values?

Best regards,

Hi,

I have connections with Portal and Data Manager. The record is in a Workflow when itu2019s updated by MDIS.

I did a test using Data Manager. When a record is locked and other user wants to update the same record, is shown the message: Would you like to remove all others users u2018Locks on the records(s)u2019?

I wish to do this operation (remove all others) using MDIS automatically. Itu2019s possible? The data that will update the record is very important for the process.

Thanks,

Evandro.

Hi Evandro,

Maybe the destination records are already locked by someone else. Does somebody access the repository while the import is running?

Best regards,

Dennis
