Automatic creation of PDS in APO by transfering data from ECC.

Hi Gurus,

How can i automatically create PDS in APO by transferring data from ECC? What kind of integration model i need to create in this case? I have used CURTO_CREATE but execution it is giving mssg." active integration model does not exist" . Also, how can i transfer change data to APO PDS automatically?

Hi Rajib,

1. You should have a Production Version in R/3 to create a PDS in APO

2. Production version is a key that integrates BOM and Tasklist (Routing/Recipe) of a product.

3. You can create an integration model using transaction CFM1 with required Material filters and activating the Check Box PDS (R/3).

4. Make sure the Product for which you are trying to create PDS is active in Material Integration model.

Note:

a. Components of the product that are active in IM only will be displyed in APO PDS.

b. Only those routing operations are transferred to SAP APO for which work centers exist in SAP APO.

Hello Rajib,

Please create an IModel in CFM1 for the object PDS(ERP) and activate the same in CFM2.

Curto_create is basically for change transfer, but without the flag "change transfer" it also does a initial transfer provided there is a active IModel exists.

Thanks for the reply. How can i transfer routing through CIF? In CFM1 there is no option for routing and work centre....

Scroll down to 'material independent tab' (in CFM1) there you will get work centers, select that. If you have your resource in APO (transffered successfully), then production version(routing) will be transffered when you activate your IM model for PDS.

Hi Rajib,

1. Routing cannot be CIFed to APO seperately. A Production version is needed to CIF a Routing.

2. In CMF1 transaction at the bottom, In 'Material independent objects', you will find Workcenter check box.

I have CIFed header material and all component materials then work centres in a separate IM. Shall i use CURTO_CREATE to transfer prod version now? Is there any other steps in between? Is there any other transaction to transfer production version?

Dear Rajib,

Kindly refer my first reply.

To create PDS in APO you have to transfer production version from R/3. To do so, You can create an integration model using transaction CFM1 with required Material filters and activating the Check Box PDS (R/3).

After Generation and activation of this integration model, you will find a PDS created for this Product in APO.

Note: In CFM1 you will not find a separate option for Production version.

Hi Rajib,

You need to transfer the plant first, then material and work centers, by creating Integration model. Then you need to create the IM for PDS. you select BOM and routing. when you transfer work center, bom, producttion version, its automatically create PDS in APO.

Please make sure you have made the setting for transferring work center. (go to transaction cfc9, and set resource type 04 and 05), otherwise you will not get any proper PDS in APO.
