Hi, I've created a distribution cycle but when I tried to run KSV5, the system prompted the below error mesg. Why is that so? I've changed the deadline but still to no avail.

Can someone help?

The Cycle 5000 has been defined as having a Start Date as 15.07.2009.

In KSV5 you have selected From Posting Period as the one which is having a start date prior to that date. E.g. if you have a calendar year dependent Fiscal Year then Period 07 is 01.07.2009 to 31.07.2009, and in KSV5 you have selected period as 07.

      SAP Behaviour:

The system does not find the Cycle to be valid during 01.07.2009 to 14.07.2009 and gives the error.

You can change the cycle definition to start from the begining of the first period for which you want to run the actual distribution. This is equally true for all Plan and Actual Assessments, Distributions & Periodic Repostings as well. To change the cycle definition, you will not be allowed to change the start date. The existing cycle can be copied to a new cycle with a new start date and the existing one deleted before copying the new one to keep the same cycle name. To do this, say, you create a new cycle 6000 with start date as 01.01.2009 by copying cycle 5000. Then delete cycle 5000. Next step is to copy 6000 and create 5000 with start date as 01.01.2009. Then execute the cycle.
