I have created a crystal report using using sybase ASE database tables. but while I am passing the prompt value in the report. I am getting an error message:
"The viewer could not process an event. Error in File:
Database Connector Error: 'HY000:[Sybase][ODBC Driver]Data overflow. Increase specified column size or buffer size [Database Vendor Code: 30128 ]' []
---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]
Can anyone please help me what could be the possible reasons for this error and how to fix it?
This is a database error, not a Crystal error. In this case Crystal is just passing through the error from the database. I would Google "Sybase error 30123" to see what the Sybase documentation says about this error.

I also thought the same.
But when I google it, it says that BO settings is not in sync with Database settings and something need to be change in .sbo file.

Are you running the report in BusinessObjects? Or just from Crystal? If it's just from Crystal, then the post that you found doesn't apply.
Are you just linking tables together or are you using a Command?
I just did a couple of searches for this error and wasn't able to find anything either. Since you're using Sybase ASE, you should have a support contract with SAP. In that case, you may need to open a ticket to get assistance with this.
