" Unit of measure ****** is not defined; check your entry in table T006

I´m Trying to create a material from MDM to SAP and I´m monitoring the IDOC in WE05 and i get the next message:

" Unit of measure ****** is not defined; check your entry

Message no. M3490

Diagnosis

The key for the unit of measure you entered is not defined in table T006.

Procedure

Define the unit of measure through Customizing (Materials Management). "

In MDM we are sending as remote key the SAP Code and this code exists in the table T006, but in the information of failed IDOC say:

" Messages have been issued: number 0000000000184470

Message no. MK101

Diagnosis

During inbound processing for the IDoc, messages have arisen while checking material data. "

If someone has information about it ,pls I´ll appreciate your answer.

Hi,

It's already late to reply. But, i want to help those who are experiencing the same problem.

Please check the case of your unit of measurement. It should be in UPPERCASE.

I had a issue like this. Finally is done in WE19 after changing the case of the Base Unit of measure. It worked for me. Please cross check with your data.

Please check in ECC if the entry is maintained for that Unit of measure. As suggested by others maintain this value and reprocess the same IDoc using WE19 and record should be created in ECC.

Hi Itzell T,

While creating the material the unit of measurement which is entered is not existing in the SAP System. The unit of measurement entered during creation of material is cross checked from enteries of check table T006.

So, functional consultant should take care of this issue just let him know the message.

He know what problem actually is and fix the problem as Ankur had said.

Hi Itzell ,

Try this,

SPRO->SAP Netweaver->general settings->check units of measurement

So MDM is sending the UOM but its not in your recieving system. Ask your func consultant of respective system.

When a new unit is added in MDM ( i guess this is the case) or the UOM is not there in one of receiving system, then you have to enter that UOM in that system.

Hi,

The value in SAP ECC UOM Table is created, I reprocess the idoc by WE19 and I get another IDOC Number, but it failed too.

The IDOC that we use is MATMAS05

Thanks for your answer, I reviewed the SPRO--> Netweaver > General Settings> Check Unit measures , and the value that i used is created in the configuration.
