Field level security in material master

HI All -

Our QA department has requested that they and only they should have access to maintain a few fields in the material master (on the plant data/stor 1 tab - min. remaining shelf life and total shelf life - all other fields should be maintainable by everyone with appropriate auths). Does anyone know how to do this? I can find documentation on how to restrict by view, but not actually at the field level. Help is appreciated!

Hi,

as per mine, we cannot provide the authorization to any user at field level.

But we can definitely provide the authorization based on a particular view. Pl. provide the authroization of T-code MM01 with activity 01 for the maintenance status of view Q. Try this with the help your Basis person
