Workflows in E-Recruitment

Hi Friends,

Some workflows got deactivated auaomatically for some time period,

User performed some activities during that period, but it has'nt updated the status as desired,

Later these workflows activated manually, now user tries to perform the activities for the same candidates to update the correct ststus, still it is not updated.

I want to know what is the reason, and how to rectify that wrong ststus for the candidates.

Kindly Sugget.

first of all please check the correct usage of the obejct types candidate, application and candidacy. They get mixed up quite quickly and if you misuse one of them you can get in trouble very fast.

Status transfer is usually a topic between application and candidacy vice versa. The candidate has the status "profile locked" and "profile released". It is set either directly through the decision of the candidate in his profile or via status change activities so there is no workflow involved.

Only between application and candidacies workflows are used for status management. As you create the status activity for only one of the objects you need to forward this status change to the other object depending on sth. called status matrix which has to be developed for each customer depending on his specific application / candidacy handling (the details on that will anywhen be topic of my phd thesis ;o))

Now it depends on the implementation of the status forwarding. If it's purely activity based, creating a new activity should trigger the workflow and all should run well, except someone put some performance checks into it for any reasons. If it is status change based (my favourite as better to implement) a new activity won't do anything as it does not change the status of the object it is created on. In this case you first use your reactivation activity first. After this the rejection should run properly.

    Kind regards

      Hi Roman,

It is a good option to cretae one activity called status change to reactivate the object status to in process.

I want to try one more option like, select the same candidate for whom the status was rejected, and with draw the application, and again reapply for the same posting then i hope it will show object status as inprocess,

So that we can perform the new activity to update the status.
