G/L Accounts

Hi Gurus

I want to know in brief about G/L accounts.

How G/L accounts will usefull in Payroll process? and is it integrate with any other modules such as Compensation or any cost centres? can any body tell me?

Hi,

Wagetypes in Payroll are integrated with G/L Accounts in FI. Symbolic accounts link the wagetypes to G/L accounts. Wagetypes are assigned a symbolic a/c and then symbolic a/c is assigned G/L account to link Payroll and FI.

To see this configuration go to Payroll India -> Reporting for Posting Payroll results to accounting -> Activities in HR system and activities in AC system.

At the time of posting to accounting of payroll, the G/L accounts in FI are hit and debit/ credit takes place according to configuration maintained above.

We as HR

create the Symbolic account for the wage type in V_T52EK with respective sides balance sheet or expenseds

and we assing that Symbolic account to GL account in tcode OBYE OBYG

and this will integrate the Sym act and Gl acct and that GL account will be integrated with Cost Centers

our part is to create symbolic accounts and assign them with G/L accounts

Payroll results are posted in symbolic accounts and in turn GL accounts
