Hi All,
I need to connect Access db to the Crystal Report. For that I created one ODBC Connection in System DSN.Using ODBC connection I designed a Crystal Report .That Report is working fine in Crstal Report. But if I open the Report in CMC ,It is showing the following Error.
Error
Failed to open the connection. XXX.rpt
What could be the reason for that?
Thanks & Regards,
Hemalatha J
Did you define the DSN on the CMC server, and does that server have access to the Access DB?

Carl

Hi Hemalatha,
Let us know whether the below steps were helpful or there any errors you are facing:
Check with the System DSN connection created at the back end ODBC data sources.
Then test the connection of the DSN you have created. If it works fine then open report in crystal reports.
Go to the Database Tab in crystal designer and select Set Data source Location option.
Then you can update the connection of the report.
Click on Create a new connection not the existing connection and point to the same DSN connection.
Create the report ODBC or OLEDB connection type and update the connection.
Then try to republish the report to enterprise after updating the report connections.
Then open the report in CMC and view the report.
If the issue is solved, close this thread.
Thanks,
Naveen.
