access https services exposed from XSC in iOs or android development.

I am building a basic mobile app where i would like to consume API that is an https URL shared from an HANA app. I always get a Certificate handshake error after i make the call with basic authentication. Is there a standard way of consuming the API's in mobile apps via certificates ?
