Proxy to File scenario

Hi Experts

I am working on Proxy to File Scenario in PI 7.1 Version, The file would be in Text format, Do I need to specify the File Content Conversion on the Message Protocal on (receiver CC) to conver the Proxy(XML) to text format

Hi

Yes you will require FCC to convert from XML to text.

file content conversion is used to do the following;

Sender File adapter - convert text to XML

Receiver File adapter - convert xml to text

so in your case you will have to use the FCC @ the receiver file adapter - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d2/bab440c97f3716e10000000a155106/content.htm

Hi PR,

If you say text format I assume you want to write a fixed length flat file. If yes then you need to do the content conversion. If you want to write either a fixed length file or a csv file you need to do content conversion .

If you want the xml then you dont need the content conversion.
