Hello,
Request to inform the
Basic difference in SOP in ECC with APO
Consequence of doing SOP in ECC and subsequently releasing to demand management in ECC in scenarios where plan order is created in APO and then converted to prod order in ECC.
Thanks in advance.
With regards,
Mrinal
Hi ,
The difference between ECC and APO is
1) In ECC-MRP it is not possible to do capacity constrained planning.
2) There is no clarity of the pegged demand
3) There is exchange of data between external partners.
4) basically APO has the tools for planning and forecasting where as in ECC we dont have.
5) there is a availability check in APO across different distribution centers.
6) APO generally used to create forecast for particluar or group of products
Thanks

Hi Karthik,
Thanks for your reply ..
I intend to know
the difference in dunctionality in SOP of ECC and DP in APO and
if the final products are actually procured through plan order in APO (and then converted to prod order) , then what is the consequence if SOP / forecast is done in ECC i.e not through DP in APO
With regards,
Mrinal
