Req track no. is made optional but still it is being suggested as required

Dear all,

I have made requirements tracking no./tracking no. as optional for PR creation. I have copied standard fld selection group NBB to a new one . then i chenged the the field lable as optional. But while creating PR still it is being suggested as a required field. I am not able to save PR without entering tracking no.

Pl suggest how to make it optional.

Hi,

As you did it for Field Seletion "NBB" do it for "ME51N" as requirement tracking Number field as optional

Check whether you have assigned the new field sel. group to your PR document type.

Hi,

fistly check the feild again and make it optional with the help of T-code OMF2

and then go to SAP -- MM -- Purchasing -- Environment (T-code OMe0) Data enter the message no and make the error message as information

2. SPRO --- MM --purchasing -- PR-- Define Screen Layout at Document Level

i already did the 2nd one. But for the first the message no. ME083 is not existing in the message list. before u told i checked that one also.

Hi,

that message is comming dynamiclly from the programme so copy from ME any meassge and juct enter083 you will find mmessage will be comming by default with E make it Warring.

Reuest you to check it in sand box first.

OR

you can check in debug mod also go to se91 enter the message class ME and no as 083 abd then by using breakpoint carry on the debug you will get the same meaage
