Hi All,
Does the tax / Payroll laws in Japan make it statutory that the amount paid to an employee is rounded off or rounded up to a whole number?
I have a scenario, where Health Insurance (statutory deduction) is rounded off and Labour Insurance (statutory deduction) is rounded up. There is no configuration done for processing class for either of these Wage Types.
Please provide your inputs.
In general, how to round is determined by law in detail so standard provides all the logic. If there is some requirement which does not seems to fit standard, you better raise customer message to check if the standard is wrong or your requirement is wrong.

Hi,
Thanks to all for their inputs.
Can you also give your inputs on the processing class settings? Can we change the settings for PCLR 78, for a Wage Type to round it off?

Hi,
In which PCR, do we define the rounding rules?

Go for Custom PCR
For rounding the values you can written the rule like this * WGTYP? 1010 - Basic Pay ROUNDG 100 ADDWT * 1020 - VARIABLE PAY ROUNDG 100 ADDWT * In similar way you can write the rule for your custom wage types(whatever wage types do you required for rounding, as per business requirement). Then this rule call the after XVAL rule in XAL0 subschema using PTIP function. (why because after factoring only values will be divide for that we need to call this rule after XVAL rule)
if u want to round of the wage type
either check
V_T511 table for t hat wage type check the rounding divisor take the help of F1

or else
Round of the amount with the help of the PCR

Hi,
In the payroll processing Schema you have to include PCR with ROUND operation as per requirement for the said wage types .
