SAP Upgrade from EHP 7 to EHP 8 running very slow in Non prod in phase MAIN_SHDCRE_/EU_IMPORT2

We are struck at pre-processing phase and its updating very slow on database level.

Task REPOSRC is very slow.There is sufficient space in archive. Could someone please help to improve performance of this phase.

Symptom

You are installing or upgrading your SAP system on SAP ASE database. You are using SWPM or SUM. IMPORT phases of SUM upgrades and SPAM updates, stop, go slow and/or fail: due to deadlock errors on the REPOSRC table.

do you have any information from the Upgrade Log files similar to the one described in SAP Note 2555876?

Is there any information in the logs? Can you please also check if logs exist at <SUM>/abap/load/eu_import2/?
