Hello,
my IOTMMS service on the HCP trial could be started correctly and was working since months, but since a couple days the service stopped after several hours again automatically.
I receive the following email about that:
-----------------
Tue Sep 04 10:09:31 UTC 2018The following trial application was stopped:
Application:iotmmsAccount:sxxxxxxxxxxtrialLandscape:hanatrial.ondemand.com
You can start your application again from the Cloud Cockpit. If you need to run your application continuously, please upgrade your account.SAP Cloud PlatformThis is an automatic email. Please do not reply.
-----------------
Is there a maintenance ongoing or what could be the reason.
Thanks a lot in advance
Kind regards
Axel
Hello Axel,
on Trial landscapes, for cleanup purposes, applications stop automatically after a certain period of time.
Please, check with IoT Service for Neo FAQ [1] as well as "About Trial Accounts on Neo" [2] and "About Trial Accounts on CF" [3]
You may start an application new (manually from SCP Cockpit).
Regards, Anton

Hi Anton,
thanks for the fast reply.
Does the NEO policy change? In the past the application (IOTMMS) was running for weeks without stopping.
In the NEO FAQ is the statement "After 12 hours, the database is shut down automatically to free resources".
Do you know the scheduling? I guess it is arround 3am/3pm (CET).
I have to perform IOT demos and it would be good to know the downtime.
Thanks in advance.
Axel
A policy did not change. If there is a need (on the infrastructure level) to free up resources, applications started earlier are going to be stopped. It could also happen that an already started application might be running for longer period, since no clean-up happened (clean-up was not required).
Regarding DB shut down. Like the description says, it is going to be shut down after 12 hours, counting from the point of time when you requested for it. I am not aware of any schedules.
