u221A not getting printed

Dear experts,

I have a smartform where I am printing special character-- sq rt "u221A".. It shows correct in preview, but when I take the print it shows garbage "!ô" in place of it.

Please guide,

hi,

Try using the function module TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE to replace any symbols in the text lines with their values in the ITF format. Then the form might be able to print the symbol properly

Hi,

Try Printing that as a Graphic(picture) in the smartform.

no it wont work. It's coming in item description and comes anywhere randomly. It's not possible to predict.

Hi,

Check if the printer have right drivers to print , As you can see the correct format in the print preview. So the error should with printer drivers..

there need to be a code page or a patch that printer or spool server will recognize it and print it. Its a basis or security team related.

In unicode system the math font need to be installed http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U2200.pdf

Hi,

Then it is the physical printer issue.

Please ask the local incharge to correct the printer configuration.
