.dat file format export from SAP HANA

Hi SAP team,

I am looking for confirmation on export of data from SAP HANA in .dat format

Seen this conversation

but unclear whether .dat is supported.

This is something for the application, not for the DB engine. We just return the data according to the client request, i.e. you can export the result in HANA Studio. Regarding to this, I would recommend to ask this question to the application.
