PowerBuilder 12.5 connection problem with DB2

Former Member

I am using PB12.5 with DB2. The product was originally developed under PB9, and later got migrated to PB12.5. Now when we are trying to connect to the DB2 using DSN and ODBC, we are able to connect to the same. But PB is throwing error that it is unable to create the catalog tables and are not available for use. The main issue which is making a great problem is, that we are unable to see the list of tables when trying to create a datawindow.

Please let me know what can be done to see the list of tables at the time of creating the datawindow.

Hello Manab,

5 extended attributes system tables (PBCATxxx) should be created in your DB2 database (See http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/topic/com.sybase.infocenter.dc00844.1250/html/pbug/CCJEBFGB.htm for more details)

You should run the DB2SYSPB.SQL script file in your DB2 database to install these tables.
The file is located in the Server directory of the PowerBuilder setup program.
For more info, visit http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.infocenter.dc37776.1250/html/connpb/CC...

Thanks
