** IDoc Distribution

Hi friends,

Under what circumstances, do we need to create to 'Distribution Model View' (BD64) to send an IDoc to the external system through PI ?

In my project for all outbound IDocs we did not create, but for some IDocs we created Distribution Model View and added the Message Types.

I want to make clear on this. Could you kindly clarify friends ?
