Enterprise Manager Console in oracle 10.2.04

Former Member

Hi.,

We recently upgraded our SAP 4.7 to ECC 6 with Oracle 10.2.0.4 DB.. In Oracle 9 we have option Enterprise manager console to create new users and some DB usage. But in our new Oracle 10.2.0.4 there is no option like that. How can i configure Enterprise Manager console in Oracle 10 and one more option

I want to create one user in oracle 10 DB with read only rights for connecting our oracle DB from crystal reports and some application to fetch a data.

Please advice me your valuable thoughts.

Thanks in Advance,

Mahendran.M

Read your SAP license agreement, it is illegal to create new Oracle users for 3rd party programs.

Only SAP is allowed to connect to Oracle database.

Hello Mahendran,

If you download the full oracle client (not the instant one), you have an option for installing the enterprise manager console. To be honest it is not exactly the same as the "old" enterprise manager .. but it looks like the same and if you don't use the whole enterprise manager functions it will be sufficient.

You also have the possibility to use a Web Interface with Oracle 10g. It is called Enterprise DB Console or if you want the whole framework it is called Grid Control.
