HI,

Good Day!

I'm trying to install SAP Business One 2005A(client side) in one of the client workstation running in Vista Business and its giving me an error message.

"Setup has failed to automatically login to the server 99A559A. Please enter the correct login informatio".

the username what we are using is simple the "sa" and the password is "p@ssw0rd". As an isolation i tried to login to the SQL server/ sql management studion the account is ok we can able to login but on this particular workstation it wont. other workstation can able to connect and use sap already.

I already tried to reinstall the .net framework 1.1, disable the firewall, put the sql port 1433 on the exceptions, disable the UAC on this machine and still no luck. I have install the SAPB1 in other Vista machine successfully but for this workstation this is the first time I encounter the error message.

Thanks in advance!

More power to all!

Ian

If only this laptop has problem, it must be OS or application issue. Check what differences it has with other laptop. You have to reinstall the client on this laptop and ensure the installation is clean.

Hi Lan,

1.Check the network compability

2.Check you are able to connect the server machine in your client machine

3.Check the Server name, SQL User Name , SQL Password at the time of install SAP in

your client machine.

Hi,

Good day!

actualy i can connect through IP access to the server from the workstation that I'm having problem. Basically i can map the drive of the server which has the shared folder B1_shr.

the network is fine becuase there are other workstation who can access the sap on the same server.

Thanks,

IAN

Do you have two or more network cards on the server?

Thanks,

Hi Gordon,

Thanks for the reply. It has only one lan card, this is a laptop by the way. I dont understand why it has problem with the installation of SAP B1. usually on the part of installation where it will ask you for the database to connect wether MSSQL or MS_SQL2005 then it will proceed with the installation but with this laptop it will ask you for the userid and password which i dont experience with my past installation. Sure thing that it doesn't communicate well with the server for the database during installation. But i can access the server through IP and see the shared folder, I can ping the server and on the SQL Server Management studion the credential that we are using during the installation is the same log-in for the management studuio which can open the database containers. "sa" and "p@ssw0rd"

IAN
