Create Communication Component BS interfaces not loading

Former Member

Hello,

I have created a communication component and assigned a business system in my new PI 7.1 system and unlike the other components I've create this Business System does not load with all the inbound and outbound interfaces. When I open the Business System I see that both the inbound and outbound tab show 0 interfaces.

Other Business Systems have loaded with the interfaces. What might cause the interfaces for a business system not to load?

Thanks,

Matt

I split this post into two problems (sorry!)

The real problem was solved by loading the correct SWCV from the SLD as explained above.

The secondary problem was solved by creating the interface determination before creating the receiver agreement. Also, the configuration wizard does not seem to work here. I believe these issues are bugs but there is a alternate solution.

Steps to recreate:

1. I create the design in IR using SWC SAP_SRM_SERVER_5.0 and COPICS_FTP_1.0.

2. I create a Receiver Determination in ID selecting Interface = DeliveryNotification_Out and Sender = SRM_SERVER_5.0.

3. I add COPICS_FTP_1.0 as the Configured Receiver.

4. I open the Configuration Overview and expand the arrow for the service COPICS_FTP_1.0.

5. Now the interface appears as DeliveryNotification_Out but I need to create the Receiver Agreement with COPICS_FTP_1.0 as COPICS_DeliveryNotification_In.

6. ...but PI does not allow me to change the interface. When I try to create "New Specific" Receiver Agreement it autofills the incorrect interface and does not allow me to correct it.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Matt

Part of this problem is solved.

Because I imported my change from my old XI 3.0 system it was still using the old SLD's SWCV. Once I imported the new SWC into IR I was able to create a BS with the correct interfaces.

The Receiver Determination still automatically creates the outbound interface and will not let me change it to the correct inbound interface. Can anyone explain why that might happen?

Thanks,

Hello,

In XI 3.0 I do not have these other systems assigned. Does PI 7.1 now require that all software be installed on each technical/business system?

When I try to create a receiver determination to my non-SAP FTP Business System, it automatically puts the Outgoing interface as the Recieving interface for the Receiver Agreement. So, once I click the tab for Configuration Overview the DeliveryNotification_Out is placed beneath the FTP BS and when I click "New Specific" on the receiver agreement it will not let me change the interface to DeliveryNotification_In...

what am I missing?

Must I install all SWC on every Business/Technical system in the SLD?

Thanks,

Hi Matthew,

I faced the same problem while i was trying to select the interfaces while configuring the scenario in ID.

I could not found any interfaces after i selected my Business System for the sender.

Solution: Go to the SLD.

In the technical system Go to the

Technical System------> Installed Software (TAB) and add the Product name under this tab as it appears in the IR.

After this you need to go to the corresponding business system

Business System-----> Installed Software (TAB) check the installed products under this tab.

This has done the solution for me.

Hope this will help.

Thanks

Ravi - You said "A Software Component when imported into IR, can have Message Iterfaces defined".

Where can I see this list of defined message interfaces? Where can I go to add the interfaces?

When I import the SWCV into IR I do not get an option to add the rest of the interfaces.

I exported this enitre interface from XI 3.0 where it was working properly to PI 7.1. Now the interfaces are not appearing in my BS.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt

Hey

This is done in SLD

In SLD,go to the technical system for your business system.then go to products, this will list all the software components ,any service interface defined under these Software component versions will appear under the technical system whcih in turn will be visible under business system in Integration directory.

Thanks

Aamir

Pl:You don't necessarily have to add service interface under your business system, this feature is just for your convenience, you can select any interface just by selecting "All" and hitting "Delete criteria" when creating any object in Integration directory

Configuration > Environment > Clear SLD Data Cache

I did that. It is still blank. Any other ideas?

What ties each interface to each Business System?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matthew,

A Business System is tied to a technical system.

A technical system will have multiple software Components.

A Software Component when imported into IR, can have Message Iterfaces defined.

Check my explanation here:
