Is it possible to insert values in the swf to a xml file?

Mattias,
This option will allow user to pass values to the url and will retrieve the data based on the user Input...
-As per user guide:
Select this check box to send the XML data to the URL from the Send
Ranges when the button is triggered. Edit the ranges that are translated
to XML and sent to the URL. The translated ranges are sent via HTTP
using the POST method.
I was under impression that you are looking for Exporting data from swf file to XLF file...say loading entire data from swf file to xml file..
However, if you are looking for user passing values to the URL and retrieve the data based on the user input...then you can use this option..

Hi Anil.
This is what i have done:
Added a xml-data connector, entering the path for my xml file, mime-type.
Connected the values / fields to the area that I want to write to the xml.
Added fields to my canvas and connected them to the cells in the excel sheet.
Added a refresh button.
Exported the swf as a PDF
Entered the values in the field that I want to write to the xml file.
Then clicked the refresh button.
Expected to have the values in the XML files but no success.

SAP,
File --> Snapshot --> Current Excel Data, exports data to excel sheet... (in Preview Mode)
How about having it as a component... "Export to Excel"
Just a click and it exports to a local file.
Matt/Charles,
Can you please shed some light on this...if this is a good idea?
Such component will surely help...
Having an option like..
-->Selecting a range of cells (Properties) which should be exported.
-->Exporting in CSV/ XML format

Hi Anil,
It is a good idea but Flash is not allowed access to the file system so it cannot write a file out.
If you use the XML Data connector and have bound it to a range of cells in the spreadsheet you can click Preview XML in the Property Sheet to generate an XML file with the current Excel values in it, again this is only possible at design time.
Regards
Matt
