SRM-MDM Catalog fails giving a "Page not found or not available error"

Former Member

Hi SRM Gurus,

We are in SRM7.0 and using SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 within Netweaver Portal 7.0. We have a Producer SRM Portal federated to a Main Netweaver Consumer Portal.

1) When we are trying to select an material in SRM-MDM Product Catalog and adding it to Shopping cart via the SRM Portal (Producer), it fails intermittently giving a "Page not found or not available" for Launchpad Start URL. We have already checked up SAP Note 1260119 and given "Everyone" group to the Launchpad Start URL iview under Common parts ERP-iView.

When I look into the URL address properties for the failed shopping cart , i get the following:

http://xxx.xxxx.com:1111/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_core/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_roles/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ro_purchasingassistant/fl_purchasing/fl_overview/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ws_purchasing/fl_create_documents/com.sap.pct.srm.core.iv_create_sc&CurrentWindowId=WID1246910622134&NavMode=3

When I get the material transfer to the shopping cart successfully, I notice the URL properties is

http://xxx.xxxx.com:1111/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_core/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_roles/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ro_purchasingassistant/fl_purchasing/fl_overview/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ws_purchasing/fl_create_documents/com.sap.pct.srm.core.iv_create_sc&NavMode=3&UsePost=True&SAPSRM_RESUME_ID=SAPSRM_OCI

The two differences that I notice here :

- When it fails within the URL, NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content..and when it works NavigationTarget=pcd:portal_content

- When it fails, at the end of the URL I have CurrentWindowId=WID1246910622134&NavMode=3..and when it works, it has SAPSRM_RESUME_ID=SAPSRM_OCI

Why is it failing intermittently..Is there any configuration settings in the Portal or backend SAP SRM that we have missed.

2) The shopping cart integration with the SRM-MDM Catalog totally fails within the federated Consumer Portal giving a "Page not found or not available" all the time. When I check up this URL, it gives me the following

http://yyy.yyyy.com:1111/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaul...?NavigationTarget=gp:kjs_portal/pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_core/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_roles/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ro_purchasingassistant/fl_purchasing/fl_overview/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ws_purchasing/fl_create_documents/com.sap.pct.srm.core.iv_create_sc&NavMode=3&UsePost=True&SAPSRM_RESUME_ID=SAPSRM_OCI

Here, it is taking me via the Consumer portal to the default-framework page and then via NavigationTarget, it takes me to the producer Portal (NavigationTarget==gp:kjs_portal/) and fails although it is taking me to the right Purchasing Assistant role within SRM7.0 PCD folders.

Is there any configuration missing in the federation for this to fail.

Regards,

Rajan.K

Hi Masa,

Do you want me to copy just the id "iv_cataloggeneric" or the entire path in SPRO. We had put the entire path earlier in both SPRO and SE38 - /SE38 /SAPSRM/PORTAL_MAINTAIN and it did not work.

One more thing, we had installed the latest version of the Business package for SRM - BP SRM 7.0 - BPSRM03_0-20003945.SCA from the service marketplace and now we have both fl_iviews folder and iviews folder under SRM7.0 - Core.

i.e now we have

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

Which do we choose..it is become more and more mysterious.

Give READ permissions to "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user" and it will work. basically there are no permissions to Launchpad.

Please let me know if this worked for you guys.

Hi Masa,

We have updated to the latest SP Stack 03 for SRM. Based on OSS note 1321672, we have implemented 2 OSS notes 1319781 and 1295893 also. But still the ""Page not found or not available" is intermittent in the SRM Producer portal and does not work in the Consumer Portal.

By implementing the latest version of the SRM Business package, I have fl_iviews folder under Common. I have updated the SRM SPRO "Technical Portal Settings" and SE38 /SAPSRM/PORTAL_MAINTAIN table accordingly.

However noticed that based on OSS Note 1321672, requesting us to create a new MDM Catalog iview, we do not have iView folder under Content provided by SAP - Specialist - SRM7.0 - iViews. We do not have this folder or the MDM Catalog iview under it. How is this missing.

Any inputs.

Hi,

Our system has only iv_cataloggeneric iview and no MDM Catalog iview.

I just set PCD location and works fine.

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

Please try this.

1. test calling catalog directly from browser. This should work.

2. go to Portal contents admin and find the iview iv_cataloggeneric. copy the id

3. SPRO for Enterprise Portal Settings, PCD Location Catalog (For OCI), paste the id

4. test calling catalog from SRM. get http trace for troubleshooting

Hi Masa,

No luck..Did the same. Notice the "Page not found or not available" error continues to come intermittently in our Producer SRM Portal and consistently in our Consumer Netweaver Portal. What else could be missing ??

Noticed also a couple of discrepancies

1) Wrote back to SAP and they asked us to check with OSS Note 1330565 - Page not found error while launching Catalog. The unique thing here is that according to step 2, Navigate to Portal Content-Content Provided by SAP-Specialist-SRM7.0-iViews-Open iview 'MDM Catalog'. We have installed SAP Business Package for SRM7.0, and do not have a folder iViews. We have sub folders Common,Core,One Client,PPS,Suite under SRM7.0. How can this be missing ? We have ensured that the Business package is installed correctly.

2) Referring to "Component Installation Guide-SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0", Page 21 for installing the latest patch level of the most current Support Package of the SRM-MDM Catalog : The steps mention

1. Enter SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 as the search term and choose Search.

2. Choose the link SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0.

3. Choose SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 #OS independent .

4. Select the relevant download objects and add them to the Download Basket. You have to download the following objects:

(a) SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP <latest support package> Patch<latest patch> OS-Independent basis

(b) SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 <latest support package> Patch<latest patch> for <OS on which you want to make the installment>

Here I am able to download #OS independent objects(A above) .But there are no objects related to the OS that we want to make the installment (B) above. I notice only # OS independent link under SRM-MDM CATALOG 3.0. Is there anything missing to install.

Thanks again for your advices. Hope we are able to solve this issue soon.

Hi,

Please double check the Support Package Level is same for SRM, Portal BP SRM, SRM-MDM Catalog.

I think SP03 is the latest one.

Hi Masa,

Currently our Catalog iview in the Portal is under

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

I checked the following under SRM Settings

- Under SPRO for Enterprise Portal Settings, PCD Location Catalog (For OCI) is

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

- Based on SE38, /SAPSRM/PORTAL_MAINTAIN program, location of PCD Location Catalog (For OCI) is

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

- Based on OSS Note 1261670 - Wrong entries in table /SAPSRM/C_PORT_S

CKEY: PCD_LOC_CA

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

I noticed that in my Portal, under SRM7.0 - Common - iViews, the folder name is com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews and not com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_iviews. I have com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_iviews under SRM7.0 - Core - iViews.

Do I need to change all my SRM Portal settings to com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews from com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_iviews.

Hi,

Please try this.

- Under SPRO for Enterprise Portal Settings, PCD Location Catalog (For OCI)

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggeneric

You do not need any change in portal side. It looks the note description is wrong.

Hi,

I guess Portal contents of SRM side is old or PCD location customize is wrong.

Please check the PCD location.

SPRO: SRM -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Maintain Portal Information

PCD Location Catalog (for OCI)

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.com.fl_common/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iviews/com.sap.pct.srm.com.iv_cataloggen

Please also check the note 1261670.
