Hi,
Our customer implements the decentralized WM solution (with a non SAP environment) for one of his storage location.
Currently all the receptions are done with a standard QM quality process. (inspection lot creation and usage decision for stock posting)
I know that SAP proposes a solution with HU management to answer to this requirement. I don't know if it is possible to implement HU ( in an invisible way for the user) only for the reception in this storage location
I would like to know if someone has already implemented a QM reception flow in a decentralized WM without HU. The scenario should be :
- PO creation
- Inbound delivery sent to DWM with inspection lot information
- Delivery confirmation (from DMW) with quantity posted in QI stock in central system
- usage decision taken in central system
- posting change sent to DWM
- Posting change confirmation (from DWM) for stock posting in central system
Thanks
Christine
Have you seen OSS note 114710 - Decentralized warehouse management and active QM
and 789114 - Decentralized WM in QM : Missing functions

Hi Raghu
The communication with posting change instead of delivery, should be in a environment where WMS decentralized has not been activated. Else in DWM standard process, there are always inbound or outbound deliveries and I don't know how to avoid the delivery generation.
Is it possible to generate posting change (IDOC) during the usage decision instead of stock posting ?
Thx

You can use IDOCs to communicate the Posting Change to the decentralized system. For that matter you could also use them instead of the inbound delivery, and that way your entire system is built around IDOC communication back and forth.
