MaxDb migration from 32bit Windows to 64bit Linux

Hi,

We have planed to migrate our database from a 32bit Windows 2003 Server to a 64bit Linux Server (x86). Reading the online documentation (creating a copy database), i've found this:

"The database instances are located on different, but compatible, computers"

What's mean exactly "compatible" ? I know that i can't migrate from a x86 plateform to i.e. a Sparc plateform (little endian <> big endian), but does it work from a x86-32 plateform to a x86-64 plateform, and from Windows to Linux ?

I don't have the new server yet, so i can't test yet.

TIA,

Frédéric.
