I am about to start development on 4 smartforms, all to be in Russian. Has anyone done this before?.
Am I like to encounter any problems when entering the short/long text, for example?.

You can create it in Original language like English or Gaerman then you can use translation for Russian text
Translation you can do using SE63 Conditions.
Hi you must log on system Russian when you are entering text fields in Smartforms. You can also use translation but I don't suggest because there may be alignment problems.
Other than this it's quite problem free.
Hope you have russsian log on language access then it wont be any problem.
